What is it in a Dream II

What is it in a dream?
Now that I know,
It’s everything that got to do with yearning.
I try to do just as you say; I try to please you in everyway,
It’s all,
but in a dream.

A new tide of anguish washes over me.
I’m not sure how saddening it is,
For in it, a new element is brought.
Can it be true that it washing away the traces of the past,
Bringing in new findings?

Is that good tidings?
I really do not know,
for I can’t bear to leave the Past.
But it has brought a wrenching kind of delight
And revive the dying flame in me,
Though,
It may not be the same as before
And more short-lived than what could ever be.

How I wish,
If only it could be,
that the Past would cherish me.
Now those new, strong waves are nearly washing through,
I wonder how much I could do.
Things are starting to tire me
and future is looking bleak.

I wish,
I could only wish
And look on wistfully.
